I want to replace black tea with these, what could be the downsides?

Hi all, I've decided to cut caffeine from my diet so I will be cutting off black tea and coffee, and will be replacing them with:
  • Ginger-lemon tea
    Anise tea
    Roselle tea
    Marjoram tea
I will be drinking 2~3 cups per day of each, would there be in side effects to this? Are there any other herbal teas that I can just indulge in with no side effects? Or better yet, have positive effects.

Switching from black tea to herbal teas is totally fine, but drinking 2–3 cups of each every day (that’s 8–12 cups total) might be a bit much. Most herbal teas are safe in moderation, but some—like ginger, anise, and roselle—can affect digestion, blood pressure, or hormones if you drink large amounts daily. Marjoram is also fine, but not ideal in heavy, long-term doses.

If you want something gentle with almost no side effects, try chamomile, rooibos, or peppermint (unless you have GERD—peppermint can worsen it). Rotating herbs instead of drinking huge amounts of the same one every day is usually the safest approach.

Herbal tea is great, just treat it like any other food: variety and moderation.
