Whistling glass pot

by elchai » Jul 6th 08 9:04 pm

I bought the Whistling glass pot from Linens and Things. It was only $8. Henley, I believe you showed a pic in another thread. It comes with a heat diffuser that goes in between the stove coils and the pot. I was kind of freaked out about putting glass directly on the stove, but it went to boiling and did fine. Although it didn't whistle.

All in all I was happy with it, but I wanted a whistle... :?

What good is a Whistling tea pot that doesn't whistle?

Doesn't Whistling must mean the sound it makes when the steam is escaping?

I have one of these pots but don't use it on the stove. What does your heat diffuser look like, that goes between pot and burner? Perhaps I have one and have misplaced it...
