shuiping clay id

by stevorama » Mar 19th, '17, 16:26

I recently picked up this 110 ml shuiping. It was cheap and no claims were made. I can see two clay colors at the teapot and lid rim where the clay was ground for fit. I'm assuming this is from a thin layer of clay applied over the teapot? The exterior and interior colors are the same. When heated it smells of hot stone/clay, no off smells. What do you think of the clay?
