They dare to claim it is pure cause the artist who is assisting them is quite well known. The studio even gave the artist a special room there (though the artist is not working there). They told me the name, unfortunately couldn't remember.
Cool, something I learnt new as I always thought QHN pots have always that greyish colour, whereas yours appears to be dark red

Typical QHN pots you can find online:

Btw, I wasn't judging...I am an advanced beginner  in the complex world of Chinese Yixings. Besides, as long as you are happy with the pot and brews well, the rest won't really matter. Enjoy your pots. :)

I just got a new camera and wanted to take some pics of teaware I'd don't think I posted here before. This is what I belive is a Yixing teapot. It is too large for me to use for Pu'erh, but I think it is a great design.

Notice how the leaves on front have a stem that lleaves the surface of the body and wraps around the spout.

Previously I have bought 1 of this, and today while I was hanging around in the teashop, few customers were discussing about this clay. They were saying how hard this clay is to come by, how pure it is for this production and how good it performed. We requested the teashop to brew a few different raw puerh of different age in it. The teapot really brings out the flavor and gives the round / smooth edge to the tea. The teashop have 30 units (introduced early nov) and at the moment left 3 units. Some of customers bought 2 of the same for spare.

So here I am... doing the same thing...

Well, that, and I mentally compared it to a 40mL pot that I have... :D

Meanwhile, the small size is great for quick sessions to test out a new tea, or even long sessions with a really expensive tea. The only downside seems to be the smaller lid-hole to add the tea, which can be a problem for longer-leaf pu'erhs...

What a year... Time for inventory check / documentation

2010
Teaware: 9

2011
Teaware: 23

Doesn't look much in quantity, but value ($) of the teaware is 1/3 my entire tea collection (http://www.teachat.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 45#p213394)... Used to put all of them on top of the piano, but decided to put it in a safer location till I get a dedicated display location for them

That's all for 2011... Happy new year 2012...

WOW! Those Celadon pieces look SO GORGEOUS. Who made them? They look too good to be factory made. If there are still any of those sets floating around, I'm willing to break the bank and skip on college books if I can afford that set....

Thanks, they are nice.

It is made by Dong Dao (factory made). I bought the whole set for about USD 184 last year. Not sure whether they still have it or not.

I have previously posted the photos of the set here:
