Congrats on your new pot :) It's an excellent pourer and excellent shape for shou puerh. I wouldn't use that size for dao hong pao but for every day drinking puerh that you leave inside the pot it's far from being a gigantic size; it will also allow the tightly compressed leaves to fully expand.

Enjoy!
Thanks! I guess it's time to buy some puerh..... :)

looks like a well-detailed pot, not seen good pics of her 200ml before
Hi Etroix, yes I boiled and conditioned the pot first... It's amazing how the tea has a different taste if brew in a pot :)

I am very curious now about green tea made in a Duan Ni clay pot....
Why green tea in a duanni pot?

They made a "collectors' edition" for... crazy people  There are some additions of contents, but shouldn't be much, judged from its size.

Why green tea in a duanni pot?
I did a bit of research and everyone is pairing green tea with Duan Ni pots.

Stating the obvious, but Gary Oldman is the man.

My green tea goes in a gaiwan, unless it's Japanese, then it goes in Tokoname or a glazed banko kyusu.

Glazed Banko? Perish the thought.

I think green tea in duanni pot is not a bad choice...if the tea is affordable-ly priced :)

I like so much that pot that decided to purchase "her" brother, the "qing shui ni" one. :P

Cool pairing for shou puerh on a daily basis.

The only inconvenience I see here is that takes an awful amount of time to season duan ni for green tea. I ended up giving up dedicating a small duan ni pot I got with me to green tea in a recent past for that very reason.
