Splendid ! I really love teapots with handles :)

How many teapots / gaïwans do you have ? Are they for collection only, or do you use them for tea ?

That first pot is interesting, but I would be a bit suspicious. There's something off about it, maybe because it's trying to emulate gong fu tea pot shape, but in an uncommon design, and not using yixing clay, I think.

The second pot looks like a factory 1 pot, maybe from the 80s? It looks big. Do you know what's the volume? Thanks for sharing!

I think in total more than 70 teapots ( many are mediocre) gaiwans probably 30*) I only used one modern teapot for drinking tea

Hi Victoria!
Thank you for your kind words
I bought this teapot at a local antique and vintage fair , inside the pot as I remember there is a small piece of paper saying that it was bought in Nottingham in 1995
I am not at home hence I can only guess its volume, I think that it is about 60mls max :D

Second one looks interesting and may indeed be F1. First one looks like a really poor knockoff though. Cool design and all but probably no good at all for making tea

As a general rule I think we need more pictures of a pot to make these determinations; inside bottom & spout, inside lid, close up of clay, side views, top & bottom views. A standardized system would help over all. A yixing teachat group has a pretty good system; https://www.facebook.com/groups/teapot2/
p.s. the 1st pot almost looks like for Japanese market. Very nice aesthetics. Banko like. Yes very much like a Banko back handle kyusu.

That's a great group and I've posted a few there! I should use it more often. ;) I could be totally wrong, so posting it in that group would be one of the best options. It can be tricky to tell from pictures, especially since there are so many fakes out there!
