Well there is no "other clay teaware" section on the forum so I will share it on yixing section. Here are a few pictures of teaware I saw online and somehow it manages to "hit" me :
And a few more I am not able to post atm.
Re: Kind of raw clay teaware
They looks nice.... but I can't imagine drinking from something like that. I bet even in the stone age there were better vessels that could be used for drinking.
Re: Kind of raw clay teaware
The way I look at it is : It is not normal clay from YiXing. Instead all the product are from Japan and I wonder Japan have the zisha clay. One of the photo is obvious it is typical Japan" banko" and not china type of style "chawan"..m. wrote: They looks nice.... but I can't imagine drinking from something like that. Re: Kind of raw clay teaware
I have something similar. Perhaps not as "rustic" though!! I use it on occasion for drinking water.
I don't think yours is yi xing (but i guess you know that!) and more likely Japanese or Korean ceramics.

I got the cup I pictured because it felt like it was almost carved out of stone.
