Pino Digital Kettle Pro quit working after two months?

by Mintaka » Aug 25th, '12, 20:52

My Pino Digital Kettle Pro shut down after light use for two months. It registers the water as room temperature, says it's "heating", but then does nothing (doesn't heat). I've been very good to it, I have no idea what happened. Anyone else experience this? Just grasping for straws here, I really loved that thing. :(

I've had three for at least a year now--one of them is probably two years old or more--and never had this problem. One of them does have an annoying habit of beeping if I remove the kettle for any length of time, but otherwise they're all pretty well behaved.

I had an issue earlier this year with mine that had done two years of service. It was a fairly straightforward fix. You might try taking it to a appliance repair place if your not comfortable doing it. I gauged up the wire and soldered the connector, since the wire is a bit thin for 1000W.
