Wooden Fish Stone

I've recently acquired some tea ware made from muyu, or wooden fish stone. The little information that I can find about it says that it leaches 27 minerals into the tea, but I've also noticed it adds a strange taste. Does anyone out there have experience with using muyu stone teapots? Any ideas on what teas would be complemented by the earthy taste it imparts?

Maifan stone is usually what tea aficionado use.

No, I am not selling anything in bad English. Haven't heard of maifan stone. Just ran across a ceramic gaiwan called CTS liven that is described as improving waer quality with some infrared emitting glaze... sounds questionable.

i rinsed it out a bunch and then left some water in it.
the water ends up smelling like.. rain water with minerals and rocks and stuff

the smell also somehow reminds me of that as well. weird

i'm in the process of trying to evaluate its effect on tea

it definitely did something to water, but i stopped using it ultimately because it developed a leak

before that though, i remember thinking that it's not something i'd use every time because the intensity of the stone/mineral smell and taste was a little distracting..
