I visited an old village last weekend and did some shopping. I picked up some antique teapots, tea cups, and tea trays. I thought I'd share. I haven't cleaned them yet, so they'll look a lot nicer when I do. They date mostly from the Qing Dynasty with some from the Republican Period.

Those are mine. I took the photo in my tea room at home.

Cool! More close up please! Those trays look great. Will you leave them rustic?

Thanks Laura and Petr, it is made by artist Hozan Tanii for Hibiki-an:
http://www.hibiki-an.com/product_info.p ... cts_id/583

The green glaze is called beedoro, the white glaze is call namako.

So although this looks like a glass pool, I think it is a glazing technique, if I am reading the description correctly. It is definitely more beautiful than my pictures can convey. I love the matte glaze and the smooth cool feel.

I will clean them, but I will leave them rustic looking. They're from a Qing Dynasty Tea Shop and they were beaten quite a bit, but I think that adds to their charm. I could restore them to new condition, but I feel, what's the point. If I want new appearing ones, I could buy them. I buy antiques for the history of the piece.
