[quote="bongoman"]My new shiboridashi from Petr Novak - it took three months by surface mail to reach me here in Australia and I was on the verge of giving up on it when it arrived this morning.

I christened it with some Zhong Shu Hu oolong from teafromtaiwan.com

Real nice wares man I bet Gyokuro looks super nice when brewing. Congrats

They were for a long time on my wish list but I eventually bought two Kaikado canisters.

Thanks to David R. for his article from his nice blog "La voie du Thé" (scroll down to the middle of the page) I happened to find a shop out of Japan that sells Kaikado canisters, especially the small ones: Postcards teas. Tim, the owner was really helpful: I ordered the canisters saturday and received them today (wednesday) having paid very reasonable shipping costs.

I chose two little canisters (6.5cmx6.5cm, holding about 40g, maybe a little more) which I will use for gyokuro or sencha.

On my wish list are now only the Gyokusendo canisters left although I might be tempted to buy some more from Kaikado...

I am glad if I could help ! :) Both canisters are wonderful.

Tim and his wife Lu are very passionate about their job. I love their tea philosophy. I wish I could go and visit them more often...

A package arrived today from Artistic Nippon & TeaMasters! I almost died from excitement!!

Anyway, here's the teaware.

First is the Kyusu, by Gyokko. I'm loving its small size as I found that I'd usually only fill my Den's Kyusu half-way. This one is very nice.

Next is a Hongni Yixing pot from TeaMasters. I've been eyeing this pot all summer and finally had to snatch it up. Haven't tried it out yet.

Last is the gaiwan, also from TeaMasters. It's about 80ml and has pretty thick walls (which is exactly what I was looking for). I'm pretty set on gaiwans now, I have the 60ml one from the Tea Gallery that fills the role of thin-walled-gaiwan.

I'll be taking better pictures soon and posting them in their respective topics.

NIce olivierco Kaikado is the oldest and the only company still making Tea Canisters by hand, I myself own 3 Canisters from Kaikado and you will notice that with over time and age only gains more appreciation to your Canisters, Congrats :D

I just received a new Yunomi from TakakiHouse on Etsy. http://www.etsy.com/shop/TakakiHouse I really love it! It fits nicely in my big ol' hands and the glaze is so thick. The clay has lots of marks from where it was rubbed with bamboo and you can't really feel them because the glaze is so thick. The glaze is like water and you can see the clay underneath. I'm using the potter's photographs, because I'm too lazy to take my own.

Thanks, I'm very fond of it. It is very "me". I can't wait to see how it ages. I think it'll be pretty awesome!
