Tea roasters, fryers and bakers

by MEversbergII » Dec 30th, '14, 09:32

Does anyone here know the proper Chinese names for the tools used to "fry", and bake/roast tea? The "fryer" looks much like a wok, except fixated to the burner. The roaster in this case means the ones used to bake oolong as well as the ones that fixate other teas (dryers, probably a better term).

I don't think I've ever seen the names for these come up in conversation; typically tea equipment consists of chahu, chawan, shaku, chasen, tetsuben, etc.

Can't say anything about the name but if you're looking for sources this still might be interesting for you:
