Does anyone have any experience with this tea tray?

I don't. But by the way, Yunnan Sourcing was selling this tray a few months ago. Their prices was lower than any other I found on the web, but I can't remember what it was... Maybe they will have it back in stock for a cheaper price some day...?

Was it a significant difference? The link I posted comes with free shipping ... I do love yunan sourcing though

Curious about the design of that: does the wastewater tray just sit beneath it, or is it attached beneath the tray?

The wastewater tray is below the screen. An example, with a different tray from the same company: http://www.wanlingteahouse.com/product. ... i-chi-mo31

Really not sure what price it was and if they will get back in stock some day. Might be worth asking Scott though. Also it was cheaper than other offerings that were available at the time, so it doesn't mean that it's cheaper than the one you found on eBay... Also, shipping of a tra tray from Yunnan Sourcing isn't cheap.

It's attached. This set of photos shows the same tray more clearly.

Image It came way quicker than I expected to. I guess that with no experience with other tables I have little insight to offer, but I can say this is put together well, is big enough and a lot of fun to use. I'd recommend.

The post wasn't directed at you, but hopefully other people will realize wenge really isn't something they should be buying.

Thank you for the info--that's definitely something I'll need to watch out for when shopping for teawares. Wish I didn't have to, but since I can't effect supply, at least we can do our best to lessen demand ...

Exactly right. Sadly many people just don't care, but I like to think Teachatters are better than most.

You guys are right. I should burn my table and buy a new one.

Lol. In your case it's too late...You've already contributed to the extinction of an endangered species and corruption in the country of origin, but hey, you didn't know ;) you might as well enjoy the table.

I use wood in my line of work and have small amounts of high grade wenge around, but I won't be buying more.
