Making cold tea to take to work

I have one of these Takeya pitchers.
I have been pouring hot water onto green tea.
Let it steep some, then remove leaves and fill with cold water.
Then in the fridge until the next morning, then it goes into a thermos.

Tonight I tried to steep the green leaves overnight.
Not sure if this is better?

Any suggestions on someone who wants to drink cold tea from a thermos at work?
I have no options to make tea at work like I used to.

Either cold brew over night or brew normally and chill overnight. The flavour will be a little different in either case and it just depends on which you prefer.

I prefer to let my teas brew hot and let them sit overnight, especially with Chinese/Taiwan/Vietnam greens. If you brew them strong, you can pour them over ice in your thermos.

I have been doing this method lately, and love it -- mostly with whites and greens.

I usually add a TBS or two to about 12 oz of cold water in the evening (or adjust as desired). Refrigerate. Take to work with me and enjoy it at some point during the day.

The brewed teas do have a different quality... I'll still enjoy hot tea while at work, too, but it's been nice to have both (and is helping me really work through a serious excess of tea).

I started to brew hoijcha over night in the fridge. It's the perfect drink on a hot day!

If you find it gets bitter by brewing it hot first, then try it just cold brewed...
