i actually have a spare one (so i'm not really that bummed out), but i didn't think i'd be using it so soon...

those are all really clean breaks though. is there some kind of legit food-safe glue i could use, or should i just toss the pieces out?

If there isn't any now (of which i'm not sure) there might be in the future. I wouldn't toss out the pieces if they're few and clean :?

What a great day. Just after I got up my main computer wouldn't boot, some system files got lost. A little later I walked downstairs and dropped my beloved celadon gaiwan. Luckily it broke into 3 almost equally large pieces, with just some really tiny bits missing. I'm going to fix it tomorrow with some special glue, maybe I add a layer of urushi and some gold powder later.
