I just picked up this one from Yuuki-Cha, I've had my eye on it for some time. It has an obi-ami screen, but I've been very happy with the performance of my Den's obi-ami kyusu so I expect this one to also work well for me. Maybe a sasame next time ...
Quick question, this is my first unglazed kyusu, should I soak it before use to remove dust etc.? And as far as actual use, it'll brew a lot of sencha, but I also enjoy houjicha in the evenings; if I brew houjicha in this pot, is it going to pick up some of the roasted character and pass it on to my sencha brews? I was planning on taking the Den's glazed kyusu to work, but may need to keep it at home for a while for my evening tea if it's a problem doing sencha and houjicha in the same unglazed pot.
