Nah just 1/2 or 1/3 fill it......makes no difference with Japanese teas IMO. In fact you'll get better results just going for half full.....filter less likely to clog. Half filling will allow the shape of the pot to do its job keeping the leaves away from the filter.

Wow that one is beautiful too! Is buying it with the wooden box safer? How are they dealing with shipping? Any customs problems? Well packed?

The only thing with that is that I was asking the pot for christmas ;) They don't seem to sell gift certificate lol!

No safer with box as packing is excellent and any trouble AN will have you covered so only buy the box if you really want it (I personally wouldnt)
