Lovely warm peach colors on that one. Bet it's gorgeous with matcha.

A nice touch is the koudai, which is a different super rough clay, oni-type clay i think:)

Time for a little update. They're becoming quite visible  And even growing (faintly for now) to the top of the interior near the rim.

Edit: found one more picture that kinda shows well.

After years of drooling over this thread... I finally get to join in the Hagi love!

I've been wanting some pieces with this specific glaze and fell in love the moment I saw these two, particularly with their shapes. There's another gorgeous cup I'll save for a separate post. I'm inaugurating them with a green rolled oolong, though I haven't yet decided what tea I'm going to dedicate them to.

Thank you! I'm over the moon. And ordering from Toru was so easy and fast. Placed the order on January 27 and they arrived to my door yesterday!

A new piece from Yamane Seigan, via Magokorodo on eBay....something I'd been watching for a while before I caved in to buy it. Now thinking a pair of these might be nice...

The fine details of the glaze are hypnotic, and seem to move even at rest

So pretty... the "sea cucumber" glazes are always like a captured moment in time.

The unofficial/official HAGI topic!

Beautiful bowl. I reckon I'm about to buy a pair of aohagi yunomi and a bizen kyusu from yoshikawa-san. Just waiting for my credit card to roll into next month...

Photos in the relevant threads when they arrive!

I had my eye on this one before I pulled the trigger with the others I posted. Beautiful cup!
