Thanks David. I may try adding some pebbles and growing bamboo.
Though, I don't have much luck with bamboo. Ironically.

I occasionally will float a flower in water in another teacup, and put that on a tea-tray with my other implements--but I don't have a special alcove/room for tea. My tea-drinking pretty much takes place wherever I'm sitting. Would photos of that still be appropriate for this topic?

Yes! please share what you do with flowers in any capacity that is the goal of this thread. I personally would love to see anything you do to make your tea space more inviting!

This is an older pic, and I don't remember whether I posted it on another forum, but it turned out so nicely I thought it might be worth sharing again. I'd brought home an orchid, who'd lost a couple blooms in transit. Rather than waste them, I added one to my tea-time ... (The little dish it's in is a repurposed cut-glass bowl meant to hold salt at a place setting.)

More recently, I'd snipped off some strawberry blooms (I have a very determined strawberry plant!) and used them much the same way. Alas, I didn't think to take any pictures ...

From one of the few times I ever managed to have flowers with my tea setup.

wow! hopeofdawn that is a great presentation!

Adam that hagi vase is great I can't believe you don't use it more, it would be in heavy rotation if it were mine, looks awesome with your other hagi ware.

I should show you what I currently use it for. Sort of a permanent Chabana arangement, but instead of being at my tea table, it is being used with the display of all my teaware.

Today's afternoon tea--Golden Monkey in the pot, and a tiny strawberry flower floating in a teacup for atmosphere ...

I honestly have no idea, it was just a bush in my neighborhood and I liked the spring time feel they had, hope to see more posts from everyone soon!!!

Loving it! Here's my version of chabana and very likely a loose interpretation. Just love inviting my green friends to tea ;)
