Re: chabana or other tea arrangements

I wasn't pleased how this picture came out; camera not level and focus off. But I love the look with the little matching cupped bamboo and how the natural light falls on the leaf and bud. A Chinese tea store owner gave me the wee little plant and cup over a year ago so it adds a special meaning. So I thought I'd post it anyway.

It's lovely! I did a wee bit of editing which you can see over in the photo thread. :)

(took down the double post in this thread.)

@seeker, no it's a fancy kensui. I wish it was a chaire, it would hold several pounds of matcha.

Wonderful, wonderful pictures. I'd love to do chabana, but first I think I'd need to get a space dedicated wholly for tea.
Just now I don't have the opportunity and drink in midst of all the noisiness of living space... On the other hand there's something natural in that, too.

But maybe in summer, to pick some wild flowers, maybe find a suitable vase :).

Here is a simple cha-xi... So for those of you who say they wish they had the space, this was done on my bedside lamp stand. I know it's nothing fancy but it made my tea all the more enjoyable!!! Heavy with the green tones for earth awareness month!!

Drink up and live up

Just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying the pictures of the arrangements here! I live in a crowded city with a few (forbidden!) small houseplants on the balcony, but that's it. These are lovely!

This beautiful pale flower also joined us, lent a bit of coolness to the heat of the day.

You're absolutely right. It looks like you've been doing all the work. I'll take some photos and post them later this week.
