Lin's Tea Tray (Travel version)

Well as mentioned elsewhere I JUST had to buy this!

It comes in a cardboard box



Inside the box is a canvas bag


stud button closure, carry straps and Lin's leaflet


inside the tray is protected by a wrap


under the tray is a drainage pipe


The tray has insert depressions for a ceramic stone and mat


These can be retrieved from a zip pocket inside the canvas bag


The tray measures 12 and a half inches by 9 inches.

2 cups from a set of 12 'Fen Cai' purchased from Teacuppa 3 years ago.

The teapots are my latest babies, early 90 zhuni from Wisdom Arts - size 101ml and 114ml - more about these later

I need to try it out in earnest soon and see how absorbent the ceramic stone is.

The larger Lin's trays have stone 4 times the area and thicker and with these no drainage is provided.

No - I just decided to load the tray for the photo shoot so as to give an idea of the size.

The tenty thing is a photographers light cube, that I can't get the hang of.

You forgot to mention the acrylic risers for displaying items to be photographed - I think Victoria has some of these.

I had various fair cups available I thought I had only used 3 If a 4th one is creeping into the bottom of a picture it is a nice tall one I bought from Wisdom Arts this year - I will show it later

The saucers were cheap I bought them at Wisdom Arts 2 years ago.

I know this an old post but perhaps you will get this message. Lovely tray, i am thinking of buying one myself but i notice it says RM 280 on it, is that correct? I ask because mine here in my country is 950 RM and Lim's website quoted me even higher.

Its 900 RM+ for the same size as the one displayed on this post. I am not in Malaysia unfortunately (lived in Cyberjaya for a while and love it) though i do have a forwarding mail in Singapore. I have checked their website but they dont have the tray displayed. Have emailed them but waiting for reply.

900rm is too much.. was it at purple cane? the smallest one that i had seen locally was probably a couple hundred SGD ->550 ringgit, and since ppcane sells lin's at a much better price than local sources (probably due to cheap rental), i would think 380 ringgit is a right price...

perhaps 950rm refers to the bigger one?

The problem with these sort of bamboo tea tables is that they will sooner or later crack, especially when drying out
