Teapot is by Petr, of course. Chawan is a vintage Mishima-style piece, and tea is Taiwanteacraft's yuchi wild black tea.

I used it over the weekend to freshen up a tea from my pumidor, and it did wonders for the tea. I've got a picture over here of the roaster and the tea. It has a good sized handle and good feel in the hands -- I had no problem shaking it over a sterno for 5 minutes or so. I'm excited to have a way to freshen a tea more quickly....!

So in love.
Not so far. It is tall enough that it is easy to grasp.hopeofdawn wrote:.....does the smooth vertical shape of the lid knob make it harder to handle? That would be something I would worry about, especially if my fingers were wet...
It is staining super-quickly too! I've used it twice and it already has some dark staining down around/below the spout. (There is a bit of a drip, so a little runs down that area, but that is no problem.)debunix wrote:Such a lovely buttery color. I think it will look terrific at every phase of staining to the darker shade Inge mentioned in her topic, though.
