Had quite a bit of fun with a camera today while enjoying my morning tea.



It was Yame Gyokuro from O-cha

Had an afternoon tea of Genmai, and still having fun with photos.

Not quite currently, but Started off the day with Yame Gyokuro from O-cha, and ended my tea day with Sencha Superior from Hibiki before dinner.

All in all a good tea day.

Some Zebra Sencha gotten from a place around here. Tastes alright for the cost, was cheap. Probably wouldn't buy again, but curiosity on sencha from Africa sated for the moment.

Before that I had a nice session of Tawaramine Shincha from Palais des Thés.
My Chinese office-mates were very interested in the genmaicha, but ended up concluding after seeing and tasting it that it is "soup, not tea".

How do you like O-chas Genmaicha?

How do you like O-chas Genmaicha?

I think it is very tasty and I enjoy it a lot, but it is the first time I buy fresh genmaicha directly from Japan so I don't know how it compares to the offerings of the other popular Japanese webshops.
This one only comes in a big 200 grams package which is a bit much since I tend to have quite a number of different teas open at once. However, o-cha also sell an organic genmaicha with matcha in 90 g packages that I'll probably try next.

Honyama kabusecha from Yuuki-Cha. Very sweet/thick liquor.

Another wonderful session of O-Cha's Yame Gyokuro went a bit heavier on the leaf today and was quite nice, though I slightly oversteeped the first infusion.

Since I'm all out of my green oolongs, I am drinking the last of the Togei kabuse sencha from the OTTI 7. It is so good, I actually think it is my favorite of the bunch.

O-cha's 7132 this morning and now finishing the day with Yame Gyokuro. Wonderful green filled new years day.

Liu An Gua Pian from Seven Cups - I enjoyed this more than when I first opened the bag and now I have enough left for only 3 cups. This might be on my list for the 2011 harvest.
