Thank you all for the comments/compliments, I can't wait to empty it this afternoon. I have 5 or 6 people coming up from Ithaca, NY ( a very "artsy" town") to see the kiln opening. They were there for the spectacular last two hours of the firing.
From what I've seen that tea bowl is silvery like pewter or something on the one side. Kinda like the "snowflakes" look but in silver. Very different. I have a bunch of tea ware mixed in from front to back, including a beautiful custom order 28-30oz teapot in Malcolm's shino for a customer from the D.C. area. The whole firing is in someways different as I tried a different wood combination. Always want to try new things.
