Hi everyone. New guy on the block here but not with this place. I love their tea. I have not found any better houjicha, genmaicha, bancha, or sencha anywhere else. Needless to say I spend about 80 USD a month getting my tea from them. I have to agree the yabe supreme is the best. I love the (buttery undertones?) as stated previously. They are my number 1 green tea supplier. Their deliveries are fast too. I get tea from them in 4 to 5 days to connecticut USA. I think that is a plus too.

I just tried the Karigane genmaicha which is really good. I also got the Shizuoka Sencha Kawane No Kaori which for $15 is a really good tea. The bag is really pretty too...

Anyone tried their gyokuro or can you recommend any other organic gyokuro?
Thanks.

Their daily sencha is ok. I am hooked on their better grade senchas. Once you drink the better grades the daily stuff is second rate. I have a habit of chewing on some leaves when I am done and you can really tell the difference between the teas. The top grade stuff melts in your mouth while the daily is a lot tougher leaf. Ok, I am sounding weird now, I know.

Hello people,

Been lurking for a while and thought I would finally post due to my real support of yuukicha.com. I think their service is great and the products I’ve tried have been really good and the fact that it's all organic makes them even better. I got into different teas through my addiction to tea ceremony after i returned from Japan last Christmas. I got a little houhin and some Yabe Supreme and really like it plus the houhin has opened up a whole new area of Japanese tea for me. The Yame matcha was really nice and rich with a superb bright green when fully whisked. The Yuuki Konjo was good for the price but had a little too much bitterness for me whatever I tried, any suggestions?

The fukishima is great too. I would say it is a step down from the yabe supreme which makes it second from the top in my book.

Thanks.
My understanding of organic gyokuro is that it is very hard to source, and likely very very very hard to produce as well since gyokuro is generally heavily fertilized, much more so than sencha. Organic gyokuro is going to be more disimilar to conventionally grown even more than organic sencha is quite different from conventionally grown sencha.

At least this is my understanding.

The Yabe is possibly the best organic sencha I have tried to date.
