I chose black! My good old Earl Grey! If we're talking realllllll comfort tea, I love it with cream and rock cane sugar, and some of my earl grey tea cookies :D! Like Aph, my first loose tea was Earl Grey Bravo and I absolutely LOVE it still to this day! I have a couple darjeelings I have yet to try in my cupboard so maybe one of these days I'll be a darjeeling convert ;)

Methinks your recent polls about tea and -ware budgets came from the whisperings of your ``good'' conscience. Do you have a Hagi problem? You can tell us.

Its black for me. Whenever I feel sick or just lazy I will brew up a strong pot of black and sit back and enjoy.

Usually mint teas are comforting to me though I do not drink them all of the tea. Today so far I just had a cup of adagios chocolate chip tea.
My name i's ashley I am a female and 21 years old.

Matcha in a beautiful new Hagi Chawan. It was delicious and looked stunning. SweeTea seems to be having a great TeaDay. :D

Christmas TeaBucks are now officially depleted, but Birthday TeaBucks are only 10 days away  You can feel free to Pay Pal them to me

Hmmm, sounds like a great new tradition for your humble moderator. Birthday, Christmas, International Forum Moderator Day, etc.

All the talk about Hagi are swaying me. I've been lusting after some of Seigan's pieces. Such beautiful work.

Anyway, my comfort tea will always be a flavored ceylon. Usually something sweet that mimics coffee. I'm looking to branch out to other kinds of black though.

Having some phoenix dancong from The Tea Gallery. It's very nice. I'd love to visit this shop next time I'm in the city.

Aphroditea and Intuit, you have me so longing for my dream trip of visiting Scotland and Ireland someday! I've tried two teas today with unsatisfying results, so I think I'll switch to Irish Breakfast, my go-to comfort tea
Geeber1 - It makes ME miss it. Sadly, it has now been about 8 years since I have seen any part of the UK. I love it there. I plan to at least return for a visit, this time with my son in tow, in the next couple of years. But, I cross my fingers that I can get a job there and move there. It has always felt like home.

All this talk of Hagi has made me think of Haggis

And back on topic: I have to say that I am rather surprised at the results since this bunch usually prides itself on its green, oolong and puerh bent. I guess it goes to show that our tea journey may let us branch out into some wonderful places, but we are never really far from our roots. Don't know what I am feeling all poetic this morning.

In my cup: Assam

Aphroditea, I've never been there but it still gives me that "homey" feeling. I guess my Scotch/Irish genes are dominant over my Hungarian/Slovak ones! My oldest daughter has always had a thing for Ireland, and I've always loved both countries. I would love to go with her someday.

Guess my comfort tea would have to be...jeez, guess I really will have to think about this one as it seems I would instantly say black.

I remember Mom always giving us kids a cup of 'Lipton' every time we were sick. Like this magically would make us feel better. So my 'tea'roots started there, with black. Although, Dragonwell is an all time favorite with me.

Guess the jury is still out, I'll be back!
Have a FAB TeaDay Everyone!
