2009's starting to trickle in?

Made from leaves that have not been oxidized.

I tried Emperor Long Jing from Tea Spring and liked it. I couldn't resist. I just recently started falling in love with long jing.

The images on the website do not do it justice. The leaves are beautiful.
It was light as I would have expected. The second infusion was lighter but that was when those very nice floral notes appeared.

I do not think I will buy any more early Chinese green tea until a little later. These early ones are too light for me. I am looking for a little more patience and depth.

Together we wait.

I just ordered some 2009 Long Jing from Dragon Tea House. While I drink mostly sencha, I found their 2008 long jing very enjoyable. The leaves look fresh and green, it actually brews a light green cup unlike most other long jing I've encountered which were yellow/brown
