Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who wished us well down here. Hopefully the rain today and tomorrow won't be as bad.

Anyway, it's a pleasant, mild taste - although richer in aroma than flavour. Definitely belongs to the roasted-grain family of tisanes! According to what I've been able to find out so far, dunggule cha is supposed to be good for high blood pressure, diabetes, digestion, menopause, "general debility", and presumably lots of other ailments. I'm guessing that the "digestion" part is why it's served at the restaurant
Not being menopausal  , I turned down the persistent insistance by my Korean friend to buy a big ole bag of straight up Solomon's Seal LEAF (not root). Looked too bizzare to me. Perhaps there are root or leaf offerings?

However, I picked up some roasted corn among other "grain teas" from the tea aisle (that resembled a Chinatown tea section). I threw some in with my personal blend of other home roasted grains last evening, it was quite a nice addition to an already very enjoyable evening brew. I still have to try it on its own.

So oddly enough after I originally read and responded to Saturday's poll, it started to snow and kept snowing all through the afternoon and evening. It is melted now, but it still managed to snow. We are also expecting more snow showers later this week.

Holy cow, Omega. I'll be thinking of you over the next few days.

Spring has finally sprung here. We saw the first crocuses a couple of days ago and in sunnier yards a few daffodils are peeking out. We're at least seeing the leaves from bulbs emerging from the ground and some chives, sage, and rubber plants. The buds are emerging from my favorite...the lilacs. Ahhh spring...

Just came back from playing soccer with the little ones and now wish I could take a nap like the 2 year old. :)

My tea for Saturday was an iced green tea with ginger and a (ahem) green tea (latte) from a place that ends with *bucks...

WOW, that is some serious sized (and volume) hail!

Take care Eric.

61 and gorgeous right now, the crazy wind from yesterday has all but disappeared.

Eric... hope things have calmed down for you guys!

I missed posting yesterday due to a big family get-together thing, but wanted to respond to the poll because yesterday, I found my first morel mushrooms of the year... which definitely means Spring has Sprung! I also acquired about 300 deer ticks in the process... a Spring ritual I could do without. Only a few actually bit me, but I would really prefer to avoid Lymes Disease etc. so my next mushroom venture will include cover-alls, hairnet, and lots more bug spray.

Morels... mmmm... can't wait til I have enough to cook. Only 6 so far.

Margaret's Hope White Darjeeling FF in my cup... mmmm.

Sarah

Very much so, but then I live in the Tampa Bay area!

Phillies do spring training in Clearwater and the Ray's play just down the road a bit! :D

I've been using my Flonaise for weeks!

OMG Eric, hopefully your calamities are now a thing of the past!

Yes, Spring is here for me when I see the first robin, bob bob bobbing along :) Also forsythia, crocus, and daffs are blooming and the weeping willows are now in leaf. Hurrah for Spring!
