Broke down and bought more 2008 green tea

by murrius » Apr 3rd, '09, 11:30

Having gone through all of my Japanese green tea a month before the 2009 harvest, I put in another order. I had hoped not to have to do this but life had become bleak and colourless without my morning fukamushi. I got bancha Suruga and Sencha fuka-midori from Den's and both are still quite good.

Have to do what you have to do, eh!? :) If you're out, you buy some more.

Seriously, shincha can be good but don't believe all the hype. Nothing wrong with current 2008 tea, I think it was a good year.

Heading to Koreatown near Philly tomorrow. They have huge amounts of tea and a lot is Japanese. It will be difficult to resist impulse purchasing.

I will try to focus on another "green" ... nori, never saw so much nori in my life. Yummmm. :D

I received my Spring Sale order from Den's today... I'm liking the Apple Sencha quite a bit... good thing since I received (3) 2oz bags. I'm thinking I need a bit more leaf than what the package calls for though.

I also received (3) 2oz bags of the Fuka-midori and Shin-ryoku, so I have a LOT of tea to drink.
