I need to take a new one, my hair is different and I'm tanner.
I took some black tea to work, but I didn't sweeten it enough, uck. I just finished a pot of the citron green, yummy stuff!
Pretty flowers people! My mom is the gardener in the family, I just cut them and bring them into my room, haha.

Really nice avie idea, Justin! I have a few of those works. Why are you attracted to Fuji?JustinW wrote:My avie is one of the 36 Views of Mt. Fuji, the famous ukiyo-e series. I'll probably end up cycling through the whole series. I love Mt. Fuji!
I recently and covertly picked up the "Sal cups" at Philly Chinatown for a whopping $1.Salsero wrote:My leaping carp cup is still available at Enjoying Tea for the premium price of $1.98. The gaiwan is also available as a set with fair cup, strainer/holder, and cups from Dragon Tea House.
Enjoying Tea also has a matching carp teapot.
Finishing up the day with White Peony... and finally detecting the barnyard essence previously mentioned by others. Never really noticed it before until I looked for it.. but yes... sort of a zoo-like thing... but strangely still very pleasant.

I'm not sure why I like Mt. Fuji, probably for a combination of reasons. I just really like mountains -- being a snowboarder helps -- , and I have an interest in Japan. I think the ukiyo-e prints really did it in the end.Chip wrote:Really nice avie idea, Justin! I have a few of those works. Yunomi or kyuusu/hohin? Or both?Chip wrote:Thanks for sharing, Justin.
I went to bed last night after craving another Japanese tea all evening. Finished the TeaDay with an outstanding session of Zuiko from Den's in my most favorite Hagiware that I have not shared with TeaChat yet. Also, home-roasted genmai/mugi, hold the cha...

Show us yours and I will surely show you mine.chamekke wrote:Dude! Share your stash.

You have to know, I am a very structured, logical, plotting, "show off."

TBPH, I have been sandbagging, true, but with the intent and desire of everyone sharing in the Hagi topic, I am also a very self conscious (and believe it or not humble) person, not wanting to dominate the Hagi topic, Instead wanting the first time buyer to the serious collector to share.
So, my Hagi trickles forth ...

I just finished marathoning Bruce Lee's 5 signature kung fu films - The Big Boss, Way of the Dragon, Fist of Fury, Game of Death, and Enter the Dragon. Out of respect for his awesomeness he is now my avie. He was a truly special man, you're my hero Bruce Lee. If you don't know much about Bruce Lee, I suggest you check him out, he was an interesting person.

Alas the Dharma kyusu has flown the coup never used. It is a beauty, but I have a Deishi this size already and wanted it to be used and appreciated. I expected it to be more of a houhin size, but it is more of a regular kyusu size, holding around 360 ml.olivierco wrote: Anything nicer than your dharma houhin?
Pictures please!
You should expect to see this Dharma again however.

Thus the fave Hagi I refer to is not the Dharma. Coming to the Hagi topic soon!
