I bought the drop ball (zisha) from Chen and the other one from Stephane (http://teamasters.blogspot.com/). The zisha drop ball teapot's workmanship is incredible; the lid fit perfectly. I have no comment on its clay; since I am still a newbie. :D

hi guys! i just got this in the mail yesterday,
the pot is really very nice,
smooth clay surface as you can see in the pictures, and very nice body construction in my opinion, plus you rarely see this shape out there.
the clay is qing shui ni. im not very familiar with qing shui ni, but from what i previously seen in other shops in china, this clay seems to be more darker in color. i dont really know what it means, perhaps any one can comment about the clay quality?

overall, im very satisfied over this pot, better value than the last similar priced tea pot that i just got from another on line vendor.

I tried sending you a private message but I'm not sure it was actually sent.

'Greetings from Bangkok. I noticed the small purple clay teapot that you use for your avatar. Coincidentally, I bought the same pot at the weekend market here in Bangkok a couple of weeks ago. Mine looked to be brand new, never used, and, not smooth to the touch. Edges are almost sandpaper in feeling. May I ask where you got yours and any other info you can provide.'

finddream2020, you once mentioned that a $20 teapot is of course not good clay, what about the $20 teapots over at your website http://www.zishateapot.co.uk/ ? :P

it is good normal zini and made by my father's student, it is good clay, all the teapot we sell is lower than sell in china.
because we want to open foreign market in the begining. and the cost is also low for us because we are in yixing and make it ourself, not need buy from any one. it is Direct Marketing.
what i say is generaly, they need buy from yixing artist, and sell to you, or even they need buy from yixing and sell other chinese and the chinese sell to you.
