i would definately take a "tea trip" ( or 2 or 3) to china and japan and explore the higher end teas more often than I do now..which would be about anytime
id like to try some of those tribute chinese teas and super gyo's and matchas etc. right now budegtary constraints make me a bit more selective!

If I had the money I would have a much nicer kitchen for preparing my tea in, for starters. Secondly, I would have the possibility of trying every flavor of tea and not just the ones I'm sure I'll like. Thirdly, I would be able to stock up more on my favorites so I could indulge in more than just a few cups a day.
I would also have a personal mug/cup/stein to use for my teas that is hand-crafted out of wood that can contain both hot and cold beverages that I saw at the Renaissance Faire instead of using disposable paper cups as I do now (I try to reuse the cups too, at least within the same day, to keep costs down, would be nice to have a fresh cup for every drink). I'd also have a nicer pot to boil water in and perhaps one of them fancy automatic tea makers and with my nicer kitchen I'd have a stove that actually turns on when you turn it on as opposed to just releasing gas that you have to continually relight.
I'd also like to take a trip, of course to 日本 and China too (Though not with their intolerance to Christians, but one day maybe) and perhaps maybe even the UK though that's on the long list.

Funds for far east tea trips would be welcome and in later life a little tea shop which wouldn't cause me headaches if it wasn't raking in cash.
Today I'm drinking some below par shu. Shame I've got a whole cake of the stuff, on the plus side it was a gift so it didn't cost me anything. I can pretend to be very generous to some less discerning friends in the next few days.
I think I've caught myself drinking shu and liu bao over the past few days just so the packs of green stuff on the way are all the more pleasing when they get here.

Drinking Green Chrysanthemum right now, nice and mellow!
If I were a rich man.... well for one I would have more time, so with all that extra time I would definately drink more teas. Probably even spend hours with a new selection testing and comparing, doing studies etc. Until I got everything just right.
I would definately get a charcoal brazier and a nice tesubin, several more yixing pots for different kinds of tea and then start testing!! I think I would be very content, and would probably disapear for a while...

If I were a rich man,
I would have a fiddler on the roof ....
The question reads TEA, not teaware, just a friendly reminder!!! So stop cutting into my future topics.
Fukamushi Supreme earlier and more recently before dinner Matcha Yame from Yuuki-Cha to finish the TD.
Probably have some mugi minus cha.

Fun question today.
I would probably be much more cavalier about trying new teas...I would try lots of expensive leaf even if it didn't come in a sample size....I could do LOTS of experimenting with things that didn't rock my world in an effort to make sure I was giving the tea every chance to please me.
Having said all that...there is only so much time in a day and by the time I have some teas that already rock my world (i.e. the ones I crave) I don't really have a lot of time for any more anyway!
Oh yeah, life is soooo good!
I can't wait to see (what I'm guessing to be) the next question in this series...more fun!
Finally got my greens today...Den's Fukamushi Special...wish there had been time for more!!!
Mmmm, tea,

If I was rich, I would buy a lot more tea for the purpose of aging. Pu'er is obvious, but I love oolongs, which can for the most part be aged. I would love to find a producer and buy a good amount of single bush tea every year from the same bush. That way I could have a record of different tea years and learn more about how different seasons would produce different tasting teas with all other variables controlled.
茶也醉人何必酒?
Posting a day late (and a tea-dollar short)... work was so busy yesterday. I would definitely do things differently if I were wealthy. There are so many teas I haven't tried, particularly oolongs, and I would certainly order and sample many more things if money were no object. I would also quit my job, adopt a baby, be a stay-at-home mom, and drink tea ALL day long between my domestic goddess duties. So, my quantity requirements would go up and I'd have to order more tea and more frequently.
Just finished my matcha (Kaoru organic) and moving on to Fuka-Midori which needs to be finished before I open the shincha that's on the way.

***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***
