Hello everyone,
I've been drinking tea "seriously" for only a few months now and found this forum through searching for Pu Erh related topics (I've only tasted different greens and oolongs so far).
What I want to do with the help of this forum is collect information about my favorite tea topics and over time, build up a nice collection of tea.
So... hello! Let's talk

Welcome to Tea Chat - which part of Germany are you from ?
Can you find tea near you, or do you do most of your ordering online?

I am from the south west part, near Stuttgart (where they make the Porsches and Mercedes, you know...

)
There are quite a few tea stores around here and also a large German tea store chain (teagschwendner.com), so I have access to all the basic teas. Germans drink a lot of tea (and coffee), but usually only the normal tea bags (which I got really sick of). But when it comes to special oolongs or pu erhs, I of course have to order them online.

I haven't ordered online yet because I always go to the local store. The people there are very friendly and actually take a lot of time to talk to you about tea instead of just selling it. The ones I especially like from them are:
- China Fancy Oolong
- China Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls
- China Royal Jasmine Curls
- Sumatra Oolong Barisan
And they always have about 10 changing types of tea which you can buy "to go" which is really cool

Ebenfalls willkommen, mit Verspaetung. Have spent many a wonderful day in the Stuttgart area--one of my favorite places in the world, truth be told. (Let's hear it for the Staeffelrutscher...) I just came across part of an old packet of Assam we brought back from a cute little tea shop in Murrhardt that we wandered into on our last visit, a couple years ago already. Wish I had another visit on the calendar.

Welcome
I've also spent some time in old Baden-Württemberg in my day, right down the Neckar from you in Heilbronn/Neckarsulm. Lovely country.
So, do you drive a Porsche or a Merc?
