I'd go with _The Godfather_, tho my current favorite is an early movie by Milos Forman called _Loves of a Blonde_ (still in Czech). It's hilarious and sad and goofy and then some.

The Star Wars and Indiana Jones series have long been some of my top movies. And of course I can hardly wait for this Friday - the new Trek movie. WhooHoo!
Still, my favorite movie of all has to be Peter Pan (the old one with Mary Martin), followed closely by The Wizard of Oz.

In my cup today: 1st, a Makaibari (sp?) estate 2nd flush Darjeeling. 2nd, a Cherry Sencha from last year that still manages to be sweet and smooth, in fact I like it more now than when it was new.
"Top off the tea... it lubricates the grey matter."

Congrats Sal I really enjoy the beautiful pictures.

Im not too big on movies I like about all of them but don't really make an effort to watch many.
I voted bravehart because its a great movie and I love the accents especially "I'll have to remedy that" always sticks in my head

My favorite movie is " A Beautiful Mind" with Russell Crow. I voted for Casablanca, on the list, because it is about star crossed lovers -

I worked, unexpectly today had a Darjeeling tea which I brought with me; and a generic resturant black at a casual resturant with friends. It was too late in the evenig.I wanted to sleep when I came home, but I cleaned the kitchen, caught up with email - and am still buzzing around. I'm afraid I'll have to watch a DVD or something to put myself to sleep, and I can't be late tomorrow -

For the fingernails-on-the-blackboard experience , I'd have to choose "Eraserhead" .

For something I'd enjoy , the pick would have to be in the indie-files .

White tea tonight here .

All of you Lord of the Rings lovers may know or not, that The Hunt for Gollum was released today at 11:00 at http://www.thehuntforgollum.com

It's an independent studio production's take on hunting down gollum before the orcs could. Its not too bad.

The Godfather trilogy is my go to DVD collection when there is nothing to see on TV!! And almost all movies by Alfred Hitchcock.
But my fave movie is Il Sorpasso (Dino Risi, 1962, English title: "The Easy Life") Absolute masterpiece of Italian cinema. Funny, heartbreaking, bitter, a true life lesson. And yes, Dennis Hopper's true inspiration for "Easy Rider"!

I'm late but want to say that The Goonies is my all time favorite movie and i can't believe no one has mentioned it yet!

Of notable mention, imo: Baraka, almost anything by Lynch (own it all), most Fellini, Wes Anderson movies, Sunset Blvd., Pan's Labyrinth, Anchorman, and Lost. Yes, I've included Lost as a movie... This, the best tv show of all time multiplied by infinity, is more of an incredible massive movie than a tv show, with the production and storyline to prove it.

Two days ago I was drinking some 2007 Fo Shou Buddah's Hand Oolong from Hou De, mmmm.

saretta, I don't think I've ever seen Il Sorpasso. Thanks for mentioning it - now I will look for it.
