Well said!Chip wrote:Hmmm, I have come to realize that Asamushi helps me to appreciate Fukamushi. Fukamushi helps me to appreciate Asamushi. I gravitate back and forth on any given day, rarely having fuka after fuka ... and definitely NOT asa after asa
Then there is Chumushi, not sure where that fits in except it is nice to have this option when I am not in the mood for asa nor fuka.
I seem to like to have an asa or a chu + a fuka open. This is a nice and complimentary menu to have available. If I have 3 open, one of each is ideal.
I would grow bored with only asa or only fuka.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

I am happy I have some asamushi sencha on hand now. I actually like chumushi the most... but when you haven't had asamushi in a while... finally having some really hits the spot.
I just had a first steep of Maiko's other shincha. I decided to open the Kinari 2nd. To drink the lower grade first and work myself up to the higher grade.
I must say, though, even this lower end asamushi shincha is very good. Maiko really makes good shincha and, at least right now, it is very affordable.
Here's the site: http://www.maiko.ne.jp/english/ for those who may want to pick up a very good example of asamushi (lightly steamed) shincha from Japan.
