Hi,
I have a couple of Mu Ye Chun '08 cakes, and I noticed a clearly visible white residue covering my whole tea bowl(after I drink it and let it dry, even after 7-8 infusion). I dont get this with any of my other teas, be it sheng or shu, new or 10yr old..The water I use is also fine, so my question is: what can this white residue be? Can it be pesticide? If it is caffeine, how come mu ye chun has it and other cakes dont? If wanted, I'll post photos.

I have been drinking that 2008 Mengku MYC old tree green cake and did not see any residue as you mentioned.
I enjoy this tea
I have this cake for sure. Never have the residue. In fact, the tea soup is clear and bright. Could it be your water? Especially if you are using a new water filter that is ceramic. It can mess up the tea for you.zloVkvetinaci wrote:Its the 2008 Mengku Mu Ye Chun "Old Tree Green Cake"..I'll make photos when I'll have time and post them here.Fatman2 wrote:May we know which ones?
