Well, I forgot mine so it steeped for a total of 25 hrs instead of the 8 I had planned on.
I have some Sae Midori weighing unopened on my consciousness, but I used Sugimoto's sencha which is pretty light steamed and I may have gone a bit lighter on the leaf than you did. The result is a very elegant and refreshing beverage, despite the long steep. I think I like the power punch of the Den's powdered sencha more than this, but this one would be great for hot weather and might make a cold tea drinker of me yet!
Thanks so much, cherylopal, for sharing the recipe ... or at least continuing to disseminate the recipe that I have probably read and forgotten previously in these hallowed pages of TeaChat.
BTW, I feel that as long as Chip sticks to one wife at a time, it's OK with me ... as long as there is no weirdness
a la Bluebeard.

I don't remember the inspiration to get back into my tea obsession but I think it started with looking for a tetsubin for my husband, then looking at all of the kyusu that are posted on teachat, buying a kyusu, and then deciding to take classes at teance, which then made my obsession go into overdrive.
Needless to say, today I had some lupicia - paradise green. I finished that one (finally). It used to be one of my favorite green teas, but lately I can't stand flavored tea anymore. I also drank some sencha, and then I decided to see what my blooming tea looked like, but it took too long to bloom so I just tossed the tea that came from it (and I was pretty full of tea anyway).

I only looked into trying loose tea when someone else mentioned it on a software forum I frequent, so I was definitely 'inspired'.
