It's Over!

by Mary R » Jun 10th, '09, 01:46

I just finished a term that was all about tea. It was fabulous.

The project was something about how tea provides structural integrity to Wharton's The House of Mirth and acts as a sort of narrative guide to Lily Bart's eventual integration. Baudrillard was involved. Veblen, too. And De Quincey made a cameo appearance. He made for good transition material.

So tired...an orgy of writing. 41 pages of writing in...4 days? And a 'conference.'

Wordability gone. So's the grip on reality.

The inner workings of the Retro-Encabulator make more sense to me than that lit-lingo.

Congrats on finishing though! :)

Meh, I'm not really finished...I have to write a paper on Amelia Lanyer and Jesus from a term ago. I should get on that.

Oh, and decide if I'm going to do NewQuals or OldQuals. New sounds cool, but with the old I can just get that bandage ripped off.

Man, and someone on this forum accused ME of opaque language.
Welcome back to the real world, Mary.

Thanks! It's certainly been awhile...I rather feel like Dorothy upon entering Oz. :)

How I've missed your literary snarkyness.

Welcome home dear.
