Today and tomorrow are so hectic for me!!! Contract negotiations are taking all my time and seriously cutting into my tea drinking!! But, we FINALLY got a one year contract negotiated, yay! Of course it involved pushing back raises and some other cuts, but there are some perks in there and a raise on the back end. Now we just have to sell it to the members. We have a guarantee of no lay-offs so it should sell itself. There is much work to be done in preparing the synopsis, ballot and doing the membership mailer. To compound the matter the Board of Directors are up for re-election too, so there is a second mailer all to be going out at the same time.
So for the poll, I voted Tea Lover. I just love teas. But I have been everything at one time or another. My only tea today, was Soom Estate FF Darjeeling this AM. I guess I should brew little right now on this late lunch break, but it is getting late for caffeine.
I went with Tea Addict, as Tea Obsessive was not on the list. Tea Lover, Tea Brewer, and Tea Drinker would have all been appropriate as well. When tea is on my mind more times than not and I have the ability to say "I need more tea" when I have a drawer full already, it seems like an addiction at times. There are worse things to be addicted to so I don't mind even if other non-tea people think I am crazy at times.
Currently in my cup is Passion Berry Fruit Tisane from the NM Tea Co. I just got my order from them this afternoon, which is quite impressive since I placed the order late Tuesday night and it got all the way from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Central New York in roughly three days. The order was mostly to restock on teas that I was out of along with trying a few others. Sound make for a fun weekend at least.

This Yamane Seigan Yunomi arrived today ... it is stunning.

TD progressed well with Kunpu from Den's, really like this special edition shincha.
Then Wonder Tea with my wife, a much hyped FF Darjeeling, found the groove I think as I added more leaf this time around.
And now, soggy leaf tea from the remains of the day.

I have the star trek geekiness going on with tea. I don't think I want to be called a connoisseur, and i'm definitely not a tea guru. Maybe not a tea student but a "tea learner" would also suffice.
I'm goin goin goin right now on a crap ton of oolong from a Teance tea tasting tonight. Yes...More Teance...I'm addicted to that shop and its like...only a couple of miles away from home/work!

I would have to vote 'tea student'. Wow, there is sooo much to learn, I can truly see that this will be a life-long journey. Of course, I am really enjoying learning from my DH.
And...TeaChat is such a great resource, not only for tea, but for all types of tea-related things. Many thanks to Adagio for hosting such an open forum and for all those who "Share the TeaKnowledge" with us.
