IngenuiTea filter coming loose.

by unklelemmy » Aug 10th, '06, 16:10

I've had my ingenuiTea for abotu a week and a half now and love it except for one thing-the filter comes loose almost all the time when I add water. I can see fromr eviews I'm not the only one. This is very annoying. Has anybody found anything we can do about this?

First of all, I would recommend that you preheat the ingenuitea first as this can cause the filter to expand.

If that doesn't work then you should just send an email to adagio customer service (info@adagio.com I believe) and they will send a replacement.

Besides emailing adagio, you can try PM'ing Ilya or Amanda, also someone in the live chat should be able to help. Fix for this seems to be replacing the filter and seeing if that works.

i used to have this same problem. but i had a little hot water till it expands, and then pour it out, then add the tea. or just add tea and the rest of the water. i now longer have this issue. so either way adding a bit of hot water before the tea seems to fix the issue.

I emailed them and they are kindly sending me two new fitlers to see if they help. also I have noticed heating the pot first helps but since often I am brewing a pot on a break at work I dont always have this time. I have noticed too simply holding it down with a spoon as I add the hot water helps. It only pops out when first putting the water in. Once its full it will stay.

Its an inconvienece but not one big enough to stear me away from adagio teas. I'm already planning my next order!
