Pretty funny all this bubble tea talk, that was almost the "fringe tea topic" yesterday, but Masala Chai won out. Now you all stole my Monday topic.

At least the Fukamushi Supreme is awesome once again this year. I really should have ordered 2 packages.
Actually the additional Yutaka Midori leaf made a pretty big difference, it is certainly softer than last year, but it is still quite good. I am still playing with the parameters, increasing time, temp, etc. If there is a treasure in YM leaf, I will surely find it.
Regarding Fukamushi Supreme from O-Cha, just about to share a tasting with this one. It was stellar last year as was YM.
Earlier shared Kirameki shincha from O-Cha with DW. It seems like a great year for asamushi!!!
Currently finishing a session of SA 88 Nights shincha from Pentox, curious offering, still trying to figure it out. Unfortunately only a little leaf left.

I missed the whole bubble chai/cha/tea conversation thing.
Yesterday when I left the tea shop, I ordered a black tea/peach bubble tea. I can dispatch those things with extreme prejudice.
"You want the taste of dried leaves in boiled water?"
"Er, yes. With milk."
"Squirted out of a cow?"
"Well, in a manner of speaking I suppose ..."

Weird... I got the impression everybody was really hot on "shincha" and such, I thought for sure there'd be folks with 20+ teas from 2009. Ah well...!
I spent the evening with an orange mark CNNP number from 2000. This was the last of the 3 teas I got from the auction house skip4tea, so I will try to write up a summary of the results tomorrow! I took plenty of notes and pictures....

No 2009 teas for me, I don't think I'm developed enough yet!
Today's tea list:
Nilgiri Glendale Handmade
Iced Ginger Peach
Iced Chai (inspired by yesterday's poll)
Sencha Fuka-Midori (with Brown Sugar-Mustard Salmon, Jasmine Rice and Edamame for dinner)

2 I think? Did not go all hog-wild with vintage year teas.
Currently on my second batch of no-good tea.

gonna have to go with a standby.
A little cross brewing never hurts:

At the moment, one definitely, the YM from O-cha. I finished off the Fukamushi Sencha Supreme on Friday. I definitely enjoyed it more than the YM, which doesn't seem to be as good the 2008 YM, but it is still okay.
I have one other package of sencha open, but since it was a gift, I am not quite sure of the exact origin or year. All I know is that it came from somewhere around the Mount Fuji area and it was given to me as a gift by one of my father's work counterparts in Japan. It is a sencha from the woman's hometown, which she enjoys drinking. My father had mentioned to the Japanese group during one of the meetings where they came to the U.S. that I enjoyed green teas so when they visited again recently, I was given tea. I was absolutely thrilled by the gesture, especially since I hadn't met the people before and only heard stories about them through my father. The tea turned out to be a decent grade asamushi sencha from what I can tell. Good stuff, though it needs a bit more leaf than what I attempted earlier today.

The question was for OPEN 2009 teas, with shincha for instance, it is practical to have only a few open at a time as it will begin to deteriorate quickly after opening.
Quite the opposite of pu-erh ...
