As always, the Japanese take the concept of beautiful to a whole other level.

Do the pink Futari shizuka halves taste different to the yellow/white ones?

Not that I've noticed. I think the only difference is the addition of food colouring.

i LOVE kyoto foodie! such gorgeous photos...

with matcha, you can really pair it with anything... sometimes i go to the japanese confections shop near my house and go all-out with seasonal treats. or sometimes i eat it with cranberry chocolate trail mix. it's really what you're in the mood for.
