The pictures are rather scary, but it might be fun to try at some point. The probiotic aspect intrigues me. It looks like something my fiance (a biology person) would play with as an experiment. The local organic store carries ready to drink kombucha though I have not been brave enough to try it yet.
I am currently drinking Blood Orange Rooibos after a long day.

Anyone know how to make a Kombucha SCOBY from scratch? I really don't want to drop $30.00 I could be spending on tea...
I also want to do it completely myself. All the wikis show is how to put the (already made) SCOBY in tea.
