I am visiting for a few days. I like to visit tea shops. Any suggestions?

The Tea Gallery recently lost their lease, but still may be available somewhere for tastings. email them. The online shop is still taking orders.

For me, now that the Tea Gallery is closed, there is not much else.

There is a puerh shop on lower Mott Street down towards where it ends near Bowery. Its up a few stairs on the east side of the street.

Ito En on the Upper East Side. Lots of Japanese stores have pre-packaged teas, especially here in the East Village.

I believe that there is a Taiwanese tea store in the Flushing Chinatown. I could ask some of my friends for more info on that if you are interested.

Hi Rich, good to have you here! Long Time : )
I know there are still our "Old Group" on Friday at TG up town. Hope to see you there! It's right next to Carnegie hall, and Carnegie club for cigar before tea

Thanks guys. This sounds interesting. Hope the stairs are narrow and dimly lit.
