The remainder of today's teas:
- Magnolia Oolong, both hot and cold: yummy
- Adagio's bottled Jasmine
"Top off the tea... it lubricates the grey matter."

Well as a kid the list was endless. I was fascinated by so many things, with the strangest being collecting lotus bugs.... But random moves slowly discouraged any form of collection. Plus I have gotten where I want the absolute least amount of things in my room, just exactly what I need, such a minimalist... I was somewhat collecting guitars for awhile, but I just stick with the only two I need now, gave a bunch of them away. I sorta hate being inside so I have even less need for anything really. I already read sooooooo much for classes that I really feel too brain dead for any other reading :'(

Not much tea today, I had some spearmint iced tea that my roommate made since it is nearly 90 degrees in our apartment. Also had some masala chai though. Once the temp starts to drop outside I may have some Nepal llam fikkal or shincha. Might be weird but having the a/c break has been fun hahaha, but I am sorta nuts....

I have collected several things in the past... but I seem to have a bit of ADD when it comes to collecting. I reach a certain point where I have all I want, or stop finding anything new that interests me, so I move on to something else.

I had a huge collection of teddy bears once upon a time... 350 or so. I ran out of room and didn't like the dust collection, so I donated almost all to a children's toy drive for Christmas... kept only a few that were particularly special to me.

For the past several years, I have been collecting vintage Pyrex pieces... not the clear ones of more recent years, but the various colored sets released in the 50's and 60's... very retro, colorful, and fun... and when found in thrift stores/rummage sales/junk stores, etc., it's a fairly economical collection. I also started collecting pink and turquoise vintage glassware of the same era... but have stopped on those lately as I just don't have room for much more.

I am on a mission to collect some Tom Everhart works... I have a couple of poster prints, as I can't afford the lithographs... but I fell in love with these artistic interpretations of The Peanuts characters because I have a deep and abiding love for Snoopy, particularly in his Joe Cool alter-ego.

Oh, and I have a small collection of old antique cameos... and a Disney "Cuties" pin collection which grows a bit with each visit to WDW.

In my cup tonight... Sencha Karigane from Hibiki-an... first steep was delicious! 2nd was really good... 3rd is dwindling a bit. But... I really do like it... more than the roasted kukicha I think.

I tend to keep a lot of things. But after hard thinking, I can't think of anything that I collect.
Even for tea wares, I mainly buy inexpensive, nice vintage tea wares.
I keep buying books, but always try to have >80% of my book collection has been read.
I collect postal stamps for my mom. I never buy them, but simply tear off all interesting stamps from mails I receive.

Had a great afternoon drinking tea with friends! Gave them heavy dose of dan cong and I think some of them literally got tea-drunk :P
By sitting in peace and doing nothing,
You make your one day worth two days.

Oh yeah, forgot about those. Again, not a collection as such though(no rare specimens) but with the variety of leaf shapes, flower shapes, colours and plant size they were irresistible to me.

Sadly, they weren't very compatible with cats. :D

My cat surprisingly is not overly interested in house plants so ours are safe for now. Our African Violets are of the normal, inexpensive, garden store variety, and are collected whenever my mother finds a new colored one that she likes. I have a feeling our next one is going to be a white one with pale pink edges that she saw in the Home Depot, but got one for a friend instead of one to add to the many that we have.

Lucky you!

I've had to resort to Sansevierias and the like, anything with tough and unpalatable leaves. Money trees, Ficus varieties...
