1/2 of the Iced Tea Duo is missing...

by teamuse » Aug 25th, '06, 19:11

I got a great email from Adagio this week informing me that the "Iced Tea Duo" was back in action. I thought this would be marvelous as I have a ton of tea and since it's been 100 degrees + nearly everyday this month with no relief in sight...hot tea isn't that appealing.

So I squeal with delight and follow the link... it takes me to the iced tea ingenutea (very awesome) ... but it's a duo right?? no duo there. I go looking for the pitcher that I knew to be a fine match and it's out of stock.

Did I miss something?? I only got the email on Tuesday and if I already missed it...I am seriously going to cry.

-teamuse, sweating away and missing her tea greatly

iced tea duo

The response for the iced tea duo was much stronger than we had expected (thanks global warming). We should have the new pitcher available in time for the holidays.

Ugh, that is depressing. I had hoped to find something other than teetering my small old school ingenutea over a plastic pitcher (it isn't pretty, trust me). And it just dawned on me that the ones you just sold out of were most likely Jenaer.

Anyone have experience with the new non Jenaer glassware? I really love it...it's a shame it's no longer made.

While I am glad that it will be back for the holidays...it sure makes it difficult for the now. :(

Thanks for the response!

I have a 55 oz treated-plastic pitcher from Target ($15) that totally rocks. It's actually a pretty good size and pairs well enough with the duo. And since it's a nice, heavy plastice I don't have to worry about breaking it!

If you must have a new pitcher, I'd recommend getting the iced ingenuitea alone and visiting target for a pitcher. Or wait a few more months, your call.
