Should you have a first hand experience, would you mind sharing it here?
I'm really interested to know the effect brought by 'reduced firing' tetsubin to water since I myself look for a new kettle. Some people suggest buying silver kettle, but the handling is complicated and it's relatively expensive. I start to look for tetsubin kettle as well.

Well to be fair the PR is usually that we have good-tasting water. Kind of slips through the loopholes.

Don't forget the plutonium :-)

clareandromeda,

Did you ever buy a tetsubin? I'd love to know the rest of the story :)

I decided to get some banko teapots instead. If I didnt have a gas stove I would probably have gotten the tetsubin. I would have to buy a i induction hot plate as well and things were so unclear regarding tetsubins actually being effective... I decided to go banko :)

Did you buy them from hojo? If so, how much did they cost with shipping? Also would love to see a picture. Thanks
