I just started blending different tea flavors. I just use a stainless steel bowl and a sppon. I did this gently as I was concerned about breaking down the tea leaves.
Are there special utensiles that should be used for blending tea?

When I mix teas I often do it in smaller single brew batches in my tea infuser. That way I don't have to worry about getting it all mixed together because it always seems that one tea will tend to "float" and the other wants to "sink" or at least that is my experience with mixing different types of herbals together like mint and chamomile.

Living in NYC I have access to Chinatown so finding decorative chopsticks is easy. My faovrite store is Pearl River - they have a website (full of many many coveted items!):

I'll mix in a small glass bowl. You can mix in Tupperware. The bowl really doesn't matter. And yes, occassionally, if making one cup, I'll mix right in the strainer.
Happy Blending!
