I am still favoring Takumi of the 2. I think it is quite good, just not blowing me away like it did last harvest. I think it does well with about a gram per ounce water.

I had the Takumi this afternoon. 4.5g for 4oz, 70s, 75°C-165°F (no preheating)
It was my first fukamushi for quite a long time since I prefer asamushi. Nice grassy and fresh taste. Thanks again!

I'm still not really decided between the two.
I've finished off the 88, but still have 2 or 3 sessions of Takumi left. It seems like the Takumi varies enormously in result depending on the brewing parameters, but I notice that I have been doing 6 and 7 infusions of it instead of my usual 5 infusions for sencha. This is true even when I've used lesser amounts of leaf.
Sometimes the Takumi seems to have an almost gyokuro-like smoothness which I'm not so sure I like. The 88 seems more like a sencha.
