Monday Tour de Thé Day Part Un 7/06/09

BYOT! Enter TeaChat here, you never know what you may find!

Following the Tour de France theme, are you on a personal Tour de Thé ... or have you arrived at your ThéOrigin/Destination? In other words, do you focus on Thé from a single origin, or are you all over the ThéMap, per se?

I have arrived at my country of ThéOrigin

Taiwan Oolongs, Heck Yeah!

"Taiwan (oolongsville) is the destination for me".
+10

For Depravitea, All Things Kombucha (including starter culture kits)
http://www.organic-kombucha.com/kombucha_links.html

Finished up steeping a fair-to-middling Anxi oolong, now mainlining my fav no-name almond oolong. Delish!

It's cooled down here again - A LOT. thankfully (well sorta, the what behind the why is...ah....unsettling).

Thank you Victoria and Intuit!

Intuit, have you gotten a culture from this site?
I really have no idea how to determine quality/reliability when it comes Kombucha starter kits.

EDIT: Also, it might be neat to make a SCOBY from scratch, though I can't seem to find instructions...

I go where ever my tea pot takes me. Some days it is to Japan, other days China, India, or Taiwan, sometimes a little a bit of all of the above with some blended teas. Though I have a definitely love of Japanese greens and always end up returning to them, I thoroughly enjoy exploring different teas from different countries.

Cup is empty, as I just finished off the fifth steep of some YM.
